The W-2X Wrist Caster was designed by Kelvarek Consolidate Arms as a complement to its small-arms collection. The device is worn on top of the wrist and can be concealed under a sleeve. A handle extending from the caster fits into a gripped hand and the device is triggered by pressing a red button on its edge. Though most commonly designed to fit right-handed humanoids, casters can be modified to suit hands of varying sizes and digits.

Due to fears of accidental misfire, wrist casters are rarely adopted by major military commands, but continue to find a market among the likes of bounty hunters, gladiators, and smugglers, who have no scruples about appearing unarmed in order to beat their enemies to the draw.
