The RA-7 was originally designed as a labour-droid, but due to its lack of compatibility with larger equipment, it soon became known as a protocol droid. Designed to be humanoid in appearance, the droid is made to be serventile and comfortable dealing with many species. Built with insectile plating for an enhanced appearance and secure internal parts, the RA-7 series was considered “tamper-proof,” however many have found ways around this to tweak their functions, registries and personalities.
